Inclusivity and acceptance are not mere woke terms for the students of Suncity School International Academia. They are values deeply embedded in the ethos of the school. Reiterating our commitment to uphold these values and celebrate the diversity around us, the students put up a performance on 30th September 2024 on the theme: Inclusivity, which is also the core value of the international curricula offered at the school- Cambridge IGCSE and IBDP.
After multiple rounds of discussion, four types of disorders, namely, Histrionic Personality Disorder (HPO), Obsessive-compulsive Disorder, Narcissistic Personality Disorder and Paranoid Personality Disorder were chosen to be portrayed on stage through a theatrical performance. The exploration of these traits, depicted by a group of friends on their CAS (Creativity, Activity and Service) trip reminded everyone present of the values of acceptance, inclusivity and mental well-being. The performance made brilliant use of humour, word play, music and dance without taking away the essence and seriousness of the issues being discussed. The audience, comprising students from class VII to class XII showered their appreciation for the performance, which showed that the message the students of Suncity School International Academia were trying to portray had been well received indeed.
With this performance, the students of Suncity School International Academia reiterated their commitment to be agents of change and contribute meaningfully to the society as responsible global citizens.
