Suncity School recently organized a unique event for grade I titled ‘Parent’s walk-in’ on Thursday,19th December 2024. This innovative initiative aimed to foster a collaborative and reciprocal learning experience, where children became educators, engaging their parents through interdisciplinary and interactive activities. Centered around the theme ‘Air’ and ‘Safdarjung Tomb’, it provided a platform for children to showcase their learning beyond textbooks.

The show started with a welcome song and a mesmerizing dance performance by our young and talented learners. The captivating dance performance left the audience in awe.

As part of the English presentation, the students shared their learning about adjectives in an exciting and rhyming manner while reflecting on their visit to Safdarjung Tomb. The EVS group delivered a dynamic performance emphasizing the importance of clean air and the harmful effects of air pollution on historical monuments, infrastructure, and buildings. The children turned into Earth saviours and spoke about the need to join hands and work towards sustainable development goals. The Hindi team dazzled the audience with their exceptional performance on the causes of air pollution. Meanwhile, the Mathematics group piqued parents' curiosity through a design-thinking activity and explored concepts like money and addition through rap songs and interactive games.

The children also gifted air fresheners made from plant-based soya wax and natural aromas. This experiential learning approach was in line with our unique TASK methodology where T stands for trip, A for application, S for skill and K for Knowledge.

The event provided a platform for children to develop and showcase their multiple intelligences through dance, drama, music and various kinesthetic activities. The show was a resounding success, leaving parents with cherished memories and students with a well-deserved sense of pride and accomplishment.
